It’s funny, but def does not upset me in anyway. As someone who is deeply interested in the Himba culture, I would love to include northern Namibia in my research as a student and document/learn more about their lifestyle (which by the way, is NECESSARY to do due to the constant threats/influence of Westernization and not to mention the knowledge that can be gained from them in regards to how long their traditions have remained uninfluenced by the outside world). She def wasn’t there for academic reasons, because she was going about it all wrong. It is a bullshit BBC show about dumping ladies like herself in environments like that to find ‘inner peace’(Like, wtf?). So her crying and whining as hilarious as it truly is, is to be expected from someone who is too busy playing the victim to think about anything besides her ‘tribal experience’. Her dressing up wasn’t for any reason besides getting ‘the full experience’. Once again, a rubbishy TV show where the cast has no interest to be involved and sincerely learn from another culture.
